McCall’s award-winning Shore Lodge has unveiled its partnership with Whistlepig, the most awarded Rye Whiskey maker in the world, to offer guests a one-of-a-kind Shore Lodge Reserve Barrel label produced exclusively for the resort. This exciting partnership will name Shore Lodge as the first in the entire state of Idaho to be offering a hand-picked barrel from the prestigious Whistlepig farm and facility. Beginning this month, Shore Lodge guests can enjoy sipping some of the finest whiskey on the shores of McCall’s Payette Lake while enjoying the scenic views of the glimmering water and majestic Salmon River Mountains.
Straight from Vermont and hand selected in the spring of 2019, Shore Lodge’s Whistlepig Reserve Barrel is a 10-year single barrel rye pick – a perfect treat for the snowy winter months! The special whiskey comes in warm at 118.3-barrel proof with hints of caramel, allspice, orange peel, anise, oak and char. The palate is sweet with a blend of caramel and vanilla followed by rye spice and mint with a delightfully long-lasting finish of butterscotch and caramel.

Made with a splash of Lilet Blanc, Carpano Antica Rosa Vermouth, Aged Bitters and garnished with a cherry, this mouthwatering cocktail is the perfect way to end a long day of hitting the fresh powder at nearby Brundage, Tamarack and Little Ski Hill ski resorts!
