Celebrating: Five Years in Photos

As we embark on our sixth year, I cannot help but think that without the support of a local food community that spans the state we would not be celebrating our five-year anniversary. When we started this magazine in 2012, Guy and I hoped to tell Idaho food and farming stories in the best way we could, through well-researched, well-written stories that come to life through good photography. As we put this anniversary photo essay together to look back over those five years, we were impressed most by the people behind the food—our burgeoning Idaho food community—more than even the excellent and varied food they have produced.

Therefore, in the pages that follow, we pay tribute to some of the many people who have helped create Idaho’s rich bounty. And to all the rest of you who have supported us with subscriptions, advertising and kind words, thank you too. Here’s to the next five years. – Claudia Mahedy, Publisher
