Cindy Salo
Cindy Salo writes from rural areas of Idaho and Arizona. She covers agriculture, natural resources, and science. Her work has appeared in Hakai Magazine, and Intermountain Farm and Ranch. In her other life as a plant ecologist, Cindy has conducted research in the Great Basin and Sonoran Deserts of North America and Senegal, West Africa. She is one of a group of friends who have cared for land in Arizona’s San Pedro River Valley for almost 30 years.
