Why We Love It: Established in 1981, family-run Bitner Vineyards is home to some of the oldest producing vines in the region. Their 15 acres of premium vinifera wine groups flourish along the beautiful Snake River Valley. Owners Ron and Mary Bitner and their daughter Amy have helped build the wine-growing community of Idaho and are devoted not only to creating award-winning wines, but to promoting sustainable and socially-conscious practices. Bitner Vineyards take a scientific approach to their work, as the only Low-Input Vineyard and Enology (LIVE) certified wine grapes in Idaho. Bitner Vineyards is part of the solution to improving environmental conditions throughout all stages of winegrowing.
